My background

After earning my Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, I embarked on a remarkable journey that propelled me to the forefront of the technology industry. Beginning at Maybank, I swiftly ascended to the esteemed role of Head of Data Network early in my career. This initial success paved the way for dynamic opportunities with prestigious firms such as PETRONAS , Sapura Technology Berhad, Transmile Air Berhad, VADS Berhad, and Telekom Malaysia Berhad. Currently, I proudly serve as the Engagement Director at Vestera Resources Sdn. Bhd., where I lead strategic partnerships within the ever-evolving landscape of the Oil and Gas sector.

Over the last three decades, I have witnessed the evolution of technology advancements while serving various industries while serving the banking, utilities, oil and gas, and maritime, primarily in the IT and Telecommunications sectors. I realized with my strong technical background has enabled me to communicate effectively with technical experts, bridging the gap between technology and business aspects for companies. Throughout my career, I have held roles that have allowed me to secure contracts with double-digit revenue growth, resulting in sales revenue exceeding half a billion dollars. As a result, I have been recognized as an outstanding performer and sales leader.

“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” and yes, besides being a workaholic, I do participate in social activities such as cricket and basketball. Today, I am proud to share that I am the Vice President of Putrajaya Cricket Association, President of ASSAK (Alumni Sains Kedah) Cricket Club, Board Member of Malaysia Cricket Association, Team Manager of MCA T20 Super Series 2020 Cricket Tournament and the President of SWOOSH Basketball Club.
