Arranging bouquets and setting up a floral business was the last thing I had expected myself to be doing. I was in the corporate before venturing into my own consulting business and pursuing a packaging and logistics business. But fate had other plans for me where an unexpected opportunity in the floral business bloomed for me.

Almost a year ago, I started with the intention of making a bouquet to give to my mother for Mother’s Day. I felt that by making the bouquet on my own will be more meaningful especially on Mother’s Day, and so I decided to take things into my own hands. Once I had completed my first bouquet of flowers, my daughter suggested that I should explore turning my interest in floral arrangements into a business – starting with selling Mother’s Day flowers. Initially, I laughed off the idea and dismissing it as nothing more than an interest and passion in flowers.   However, life has a funny way of leading us down paths we never anticipated.

Fast forward, Petal Palette Instagram profile was created (@petalpalette.kl). Prepped and primed with promotional material, I found myself taking orders from friends, relatives and clients for Mother’s Day celebration. I began experimenting with different varieties of flowers and floral arrangements, embraced trial and error to transform flowers into stunning bouquets.

Petal Palette is now expanded into custom fruit and gift boxes with floral arrangements. From birthdays to grand opening ceremonies, anniversaries to sympathy events, I had the privilege of being a part of life’s most special moments; it was about spreading joy, happiness and beauty through flowers. While I may have never imagined myself in this floral adventure, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
